In order to balance the teams in the league a bit more (considering the fact that we will probably get a max. number of 5-6 seasons in during course of our GMC league) and make the league more competitive and fun for all GMs, the bottom 7 teams (roster strength) will be able to make max. two deals (prospects for established players) with top8 teams in advance of season 1.
top teams (8): Chicago, NYR, Tampa Bay, LA Kings, Anaheim, Pittsburgh, St Louis, Washington.
bottom teams (7) : Arizona, Buffalo, NJ, Carolina, Toronto, Vancouver, Philadelphia.
Strong teams will have to 'nominate' 1 84+ ovr player (group A) and 1 82+ ovr player (group B)
Bottom teams will have to 'nominate' 1 prospects 75ovr+ under 21y old (group A) and 1 75ovr+ prospect under 23y old / or 1st round pick 2016 (group B).
With the list of 16 players from top teams, and 14 assets (prospects of 1st round picks), the bottom teams can make offers on players from top teams. (per group)
If a 'weak' team makes a offer to a top team, top team has to accept; if more than one offer, top team has to make choice which offer to accept.
2 rounds of offering:
- offer round 1 (both group A and group B)
- offer round 2 (both group A and group B)
ie:
Chicago nominates Shaw (84ovr; group A) and Bickell (83ovr; group B).
Tampa nominates Filppula (86ovr; group A) and Boyle (83ovr, group B).
Buffalo nominates Justin Bailey (group A) and 2016 1str round pick
Arizona nominates Perlini (group A) and Martinook (Group B).
Offer round 1:
Buffalo offers Bailey for Shaw.
Buffalo offers 1st round pick 2016 for Boyle.
Arizona offers Perlini for Filppula.
Arizona offers Martinook for Boyle.
Chicago has to accept Bailey for Shaw.
Tampa has to accept Perlini for Filppula.
Tampa has to chose between 1st round pick and Martinook for Boyle; accepts 1st round pick.
Offer round 2:
Arizona has choice to offer Martinook for Bickell, but decides not to do so.
Arizona keeps Martinook, Chicago keeps Bickell.
Above with all 15 team involved as opposed to 4 in example.
